Is Traveling the World While Working Entry Level Remote Jobs Really a Possibility?
Absolutely! We started doing this in 2013. It started out as an entry level remote job then. Now though, it’s a well paying career. And, before we left the States we were a bartender and chef. Not exactly jobs that transition very well to online work. Trust us, if we can figure this out, anyone can.
If you’ve read our blog “10 Tips on how to Save that Money and Finally go Overseas” you’ll see that we had a bit of savings when we first started traveling. That didn’t last long. We realized after a few months that if we wanted to maintain our nomadic AF lifestyle, we were going to have to find some kind of entry level remote jobs.
How we Found our First Entry Level Remote Jobs
After about 8 months of traveling, we found ourselves sitting on the beach in Nicaragua and contemplating our circumstances. Over the past few months, we’d been spending money as if it were going out of style. If we wanted to continue our travels, we were going to have to earn an income.
We both loved to write, so we decided to start there. After some online research, we decided to open an account on Fiverr. We could offer our writing services on their platform and charge whatever we wanted. After a month or so on Fiverr we started making some money. Not a lot, but enough to keep us in Nicaragua for the foreseeable future.
If you’re actually serious about working remotely and traveling the world we suggest starting with Fiverr. It’s free to join, you can offer nearly any kind of service you can imagine, and you can charge whatever you like. All of the money you make is deposited into your Paypal account and you can withdraw that money from ATM machines anywhere in the world.
