Hi! We’re Paul & Natasha. Since 2013 we’ve been Nomadic AF.

What Does Being Nomadic AF Mean Exactly?

Being nomadic, or as some call us “digital nomads“, basically means that we work remotely and live anywhere in the world we want.

Our nomadic lifestyle allows us to:

  • Travel wherever and whenever we want.
  • Live wherever we want for however long we want.
  • Work when we feel like it.
  • Be in complete control of our work and our lives.

By adopting a nomadic lifestyle we are able to live the kind of life that we’ve always dreamed of.

The Best Part is, Anyone can Live a Nomadic Lifestyle.

We weren’t rich when we decided to become nomadic AF. Far from it actually. Natasha was a server and I was a chef. We weren’t making a ton of money, nor did we have any high-dollar assets we could sell to fund our new lifestyle.

All we knew was we wanted out of the daily grind of wake-up, work, sleep, repeat. We wanted more freedom in our lives and we knew we couldn’t get that living in the States and working 40-60 hours a week.

This Wasn’t our First Attempt at Living Nomadically.

Our first attempt at living overseas failed pretty miserably. Damn, it was a lot of fun though!

In early 2011 we were miserable. We’d spent the past 3-4 months each working 60+ hours a week, between four different restaurants and barely saw each other. Worst yet, we had very little to show for it!

Winter had just settled in and we were physically and emotionally drained. Like a lot of people who are suffering through a Midwestern winter, we would spend our free time scouring the internet for cheap last-minute flights to somewhere, anywhere, warm.

And then we found what we were looking for; one-way flights from NYC to Jamaica for less than $100 each. Natasha turned to me, shrugged her shoulders, and said, “Fuck it. Let’s do it“.

Three weeks later we were hitching a ride to NYC. We had just sold off everything we owned which had put a paltry $4,000 into our pockets.

We were broke. Dead. Ass. Broke. We had just spent almost six months living, volunteering, and partying on the sunny beaches of Negril, Jamaica. Now we were on a flight home with less than $100 in cash between the two of us.

We were hooked on the lifestyle though. For six months we had experienced what few people our age have; complete and total freedom to do what we want when we want.

Back in the States, but Not for Long.

Even when returning from Jamaica, we had no idea what a digital nomad was or that living nomadically, long term, was even a possibility. All we knew at the time was we wanted more of the freedom we had just experienced.

We spent the next two years figuring it all out. Once we got all of our shit together we left the States again in the winter of 2013. We’ve been living nomadic AF ever since.

We Want Everyone to Know that Living a Nomad Lifestyle is Possible for Anyone.

That’s why we’ve created this website. We’ve been told repeatedly by friends, family, and acquaintances that they would love to live nomadically, but they just don’t know where to start.

We’ve been through it, successfully now for years, and we can help. We write this blog for inspiration for anyone who has decided that living the rat-race is just too damned exhausting.

So, sit back, relax, and check out some of the cool places you could be living in next year. If you’re serious about living the nomadic lifestyle we’ve written an e-book that details the exact steps we took while living in the States that allowed us to live this lifestyle.

Trust us, if we can do this, anyone can!
